Renewed: Teen Wolf

MTV has renewed teen supernatural series Teen Wolf for a third season.

Impressively, they have doubled the episode order to 24.

This is the first time that a primetime scripted series has gotten a third season pick-up by MTV, as it continues its drive into scripted television.

David Janollari, Head of MTV Programming, said “Teen Wolf represents a terrific foray into the scripted world for the millennial MTV audience, and marks tremendous success in the continued diversification of our schedule.

“Renewing the show for a third season celebrates the creative vision of Executive Producer Jeff Davis and the remarkable talent of the cast who bring this bona fide fan favorite to life.”

Teen Wolf joins Awkward in MTV’s scripted output while a US version of The Inbetweeners and dramedy series Underemployed is on the way.

Teen Wolf airs in Australia on FOX8.
