Last night guests gathered at Carriageworks in Redfern for the recording of The History Channel’s The People Speak.

The night was narrated by author Thomas Keneally and included performances by Tex Perkins, Julia Stone and Christine Anu.

The special, produced by WTFN Entertainment, is based around the US version by Matt Damon and Ben Affleck and will air on History in November.
