Nickelodeon ready for Slimefest

Nickelodeon is gearing up for its tween-friendly Slimefest concert, set to replace the Kids' Choice Awards this year.

Brian McFadden, Richard Wilkins, and Biggest Loser‘s Commando Steve are amongst the latest names set to appear at Nickelodeon’s Slimefest event on September 15th.

Updated: Next week kids can log onto the The Nick Shack to cast their vote for the star that will be slimed in the Slime Dunk.

The tween-friendly Slimefest music concert to be held at Sydney’s Hordern Pavilion replaces the popular Kids’ Choice Awards for 2012.

Already appearing are Jessica Mauboy, Reece Mastoin, Justice Crew, Stan Walker and Johhny Ruffo with Christina Parie, as official backstage reporter. Previously announced stunts include the Guinness World Record sliming attempt for the Most People Slimed Simultaneously and the Slimefest-A-Tron, a 360 degrees periscope which will unleash a gooey slime-storm.

A second show has been added for 11am.

Slimefest will screen on Nickelodeon at 6pm the same day.

  1. I just feel incredibly old reading this. I find it hard to wrap my head around anyone over 10 years old being thrilled about ‘slimefest’. I do of course know this is indeed for kids but…..do kids relate to people like Richard Wilkins? It always comes across as a lop-sided and strange event that nonetheless retains popularity!
