Gold medals in nine sports are to be decided on Day 14. Australia is looking for sailing gold in the men’s 470 event, and two Beijing champions are in action: Steve Hooker in the men’s pole vault and diver Matthew Mitcham in the men’s 10m platform event.

This session may include:

Canoe – Sprint
It is a day for the sprinters at Eton Dorney as the paddlers do battle over the newly introduced 200m dash distance. James Brayshaw and James Tomkins will call the action.

On winning a gold medal with the men’s K4 1000m crew yesterday, Murray Stewart lines up in the heats of the K1 200. In the men’s K2 200m dash Jesse Phillips teams up with Stephen Bird. In the women’s K1 200m Alana Nicholls contests the heats. In the men’s C1 Sebastian Marczak races over 200m.

Taekwondo
The taekwondo competition continues, with two more gold medals to be won. Australia’s sole female representative, Carmen Marton, will compete in the women’s 67kg event. Marton has been in top form in the lead-up events in Europe and will hoping to better her quarter-final result at Beijing.
Rhythmic Gymnastics
The individual all-round rotations continue in rhythmic gymnastics at Wembley Arena. Janine Murray is flying the flag for the Australia.

Swimming: Men’s 10km
Hyde Park will again be packed as the 25-strong men’s field takes to the water for the 10km marathon swim. Australia will be represented by seven-time ironman champion Ky Hurst, who finished 11th in this event at the Beijing Olympics. Mike McCann will call the event for Nine.

Sailing
A lack of wind saw competition postponed yesterday. Australia’s Matthew Belcher and Malcolm Page are in first place in the men’s 470, with the final race of their competition now scheduled for today. They could win Australia’s third sailing gold medal of London 2012.
Boxing
It’s semi-final time in every boxing division today. The first session features semis in the 49kg, 56kg, 64kg, 75kg and 91kg. The second session has the 52kg, 60kg, 69kg, 81kg and plus-91kg.

12.30am London Live continues

Ken Sutcliffe takes over the hosting duties as we count down to the BMX finals and a massive program of athletics from the Olympic Stadium, plus Matthew Mitcham wants to back up his Beijing gold in the diving pool.

This session may include:

Athletics – 4am*
Six gold medals are on offer at the Olympic stadium and the action will be spellbinding.

In the field, the men’s pole vault should be a spectacular competition. Defending Olympic champion Steve Hooker is through to the final and is hoping to soar just as he did when he won his memorable gold for Australia in 2008. The women’s hammer throw will also be an exciting event. On the track, the women will compete in the finals of the 5000m, the 4x100m relay and the 1500m.

Australian has a team in the first heat of the men’s 4x100m relay. The final event will be the men’s 4x400m relay for men. The Americans have won this event 17 of the 22 times it has been contested.

Diving
Diver Matthew Mitcham became our first men’s diving gold medallist since 1924 when he produced the highest single-dive score in Olympic history on his final dive in Beijing to record a famous victory. He has come back from serious abdominal injuries to stake his claim as one of the favourites in London. Watch out for the other Aussie, super-talented Jimmy Connor, 17.
Michael Slater and Mike Murphy, a 1994 Commonwealth Games gold medallist in this event, will be poolside.

Hockey
The Australian women are out of the medal chase, but the Hockeyroos play China in a classification match to decide fifth and sixth places.
Cycling: BMX
We return to the purpose-built BMX track in Olympic Park for the run to the gold and begin with semi-finals in both the men’s and women’s events, which follow a three-run format. The top four riders from each semi-final advance to the final where the medals are decided over one run. Sam Willoughby, Khalen Young, Caroline Buchanan and Lauren Reynolds will represent Australia’s in the semi-finals.

Basketball
Semi-final action unfolds in the men’s basketball. The hot match-up is the United States against Argentina, with both teams boasting NBA all-stars. Andrew Gaze and John Casey will call the action on Nine.

Volleyball
The semi-finals of the men’s volleyball event get under way at Earls Court. Bulgaria play Russia in one semi and Brazil play Italy in the second semi.

Synchronised Swimming
The Australian women finished seventh in the final of the team synchronised swimming event at the last Olympics as Russia swept to a third successive gold.
There are eight teams and Australia is assured of a place in the medal swim-off. The free routines provide for some classic artistry and athletic skill to be displayed by the teams.

Water Polo
The Australian men meet Hungary in a classification match to decide fifth and sixth placing.
