TEN set to Get Ace

Production has begun on new animated series about a nerdy 12 year old with a set of top-secret, ultra high-tech spy braces.

Production has begun on new animated series Get Ace for Network TEN.

The series follows the oddball adventures of Ace McDougal, “a nerdy 12 year old school kid, who’s catapulted – teeth-first – into one hair-raising adventure after another when he’s fitted with a set of top-secret, ultra high-tech spy braces. But Ace’s awesome braces come with one big problem – Hugo, a totally obnoxious computer hologram that Ace can’t operate his newfound braces without. So like it or not, they’re a team.”

This is the second commissioning from TEN for Galaxy Pop duo Gian Christian and Dina McPherson, who previously
produced Rock It!

Cherrie Bottger, TEN’s Head of Children’s Programming said, “Network TEN is thrilled to be in partnership once again with such a talented and passionate team headed by Gian and Dina.

“Each action-packed episode of Get Ace is a non stop thill ride, full of frantic chases, slapstick hijink, irreverent humour and a wacky cast of characters” said Dina McPherson Co-Founder and Head of Creative at Galaxy Pop.”

Christian added,, “We’re very excited to be producing another series with Cherrie and Network TEN and thrilled our young audience will soon get to join in the antics of Ace and his sidekick Hugo.”

The series will premiere in October 2013.
