Two more enter Big Brother house

George and Ryan enter the BB house. Warning: Spoiler Alert!

SPOILER IN ARTICLE!

Two more males have entered the Big Brother house during last night’s Live show.

George: 25 years old, an Electrician from WA. Works at an open cut mine. Has a Greek, Lebanese background. “Everyone says I’m a bit of a mummy’s boy but I don’t see a problem with that.”  he says. “I can’t remember the last time I went out without kissing a girl.” He has  dreadlocks that ‘smell like strawberries’, can’t live without his dog and his laptop and lives with mum and sister.

Ryan: 21 Male model who considers himself a 9.5 in the looks department. “I don’t know how many times in a day I look at myself in the mirror,” he says. “If there’s a good looking girl in the house I’ll go straight there.” Describes himself as a “normal 21 year old, down to earth” guy. “Everyone thinks models are stupid but I’ve just finished my Commerce Law degree.”

The two boys entered the house while the girls were in the Parlour room and watched via video screen. During the Live episode we were shown “Live” footage from the house (housemates made references to “no swearing”) but there was still audio censoring going on, suggesting it was delayed.

Host Sonia Kruger also told us it was “the first time BB has had a Brit in the house.” Guess she forgot about intruder Anouska from the British BB spending a week here in 2003….

There’s still a huge amount of chat between housemates about finding someone hot in the house. I thought we were casting against previous BB seasons? With a geek and a millionaire, the show is also channelling a lot of Beauty and the Geek.

Two more males are also set to enter, one of whom says he is a “bitch.”
SPOILER:

Details of the multi-millionaire emerged across social media last night with details of a story on WA property investor George Baramily in the June edition of Australian Property Investor. He has amassed $3.7m equity in a property portfolio at the age of 25.

  1. Yes I’ve got to say I’m holding off on any opinions until I’ve seen all the housemates and get a better idea of how they will interact with each other.Once it finds its groove and the daily shows begin I think it might be alright.

  2. The problem is, the proper show has not started yet. We’re just getting snippets of their first few days in the house. Then some fairly pointless live crosses.

Not having a fully daily show before the live show last night was a mistake.

The lack of live streaming and uplate is actually a big issue. Especially seeing we’re yet to have the aforementioned daily shows.

I was never a massive watcher of either, but I have felt the desire to flick it on, almost after watching the show. So I am definitely missing it not being there.

I can understand a lack of uplate, but no live stream in this day and age when more people than ever could watch it is a huge mistake. Even watching it here and there helps build a stronger connection to the show and guests. Makes it all more real. Rather than edited, selected snippets.

I am enjoying the show, but i guarantee if I loose interest it’ll be because of no streaming.

  3. @theotheradam … in all fairness they have been in their for 1 minute. We havent even really seen anything.

@Ren.. if they are “truly” budgeting only 1 and 1.2 then they will lose their capital invesement. Ch9 cant afford to do that (well no one can but especially the broke Ch9).

Plus you always tell advertisers the low side but tell them that who knows how high it could go. Just to cover your ass a little. Rule 1.01 in selling advertising space for new TV shows.

  4. I’m finding the show extremely boring and the housemates uninteresting. Maybe this will change as they relax and show their true personality… but it certainly isn’t anything like they advertised

  5. Im happy that BB show has started. but very disapointed that there is yet no (webcams) avaiable to view what the housemates are doing 24/7 on the official big brother website.

The fact that more likely the webcams may begin after the show tonight is only a guessing game. Because they don’t want to revealed to you yet who the 2 new housemates are. They have entered the house last night but because we don’ get to watch this (live) on tv as it is 24hour a day later recorded.

If there wont be no webcams after the show as of tonight. Then it does feel like you just dnt no much about the housemates at all. And also im having disifulties trying to remember exactly where the bedroom is located on the big brother house and where the actual living room is located. Why i ask? well when they did a tour of the bb house on the opening night all they did was show rooms but not virtually get a camera men in the house and walk thru room by rooms to show you exactly where the areas are. Rather then show room per room without even knowing if that room is next to the kitchen or next door to the living room and so on. I suppose big brother this time it is very different. It feels like i dont even no the house too well at all.. Preview years they always show in full perspective the house walk thru tour of the house. Rather then edit cuting and room per room.

  6. @David Knox, I don’t think people will be able to connect to the housemates without live streaming. So far we have seen Sonia more than we have seen the housemates.

  7. Oh and to add to my last comment given they spent around 35 million i heard they need to average around 1.5 million to justify the huge advertising and production budget.

  8. David,

Is it just me or are the ratings soft?

I would have expected the launch to hit 2million and then be sitting around 1,7million right now

I expected this show to start strong rather than build given the curosity factor and the strong connection of the past.

It was down to 1.3 million last night, i can see it diving below 1 million from here. People get bored of BB the longer it goes..it doesnt build…people get bored of the same convos, same people, same nothingness…

I think Ch9 would be a little disappointed.

I actually think Sonia is doing a great job btw.

    1. Numbers are good, it’s a different landscape. I think 2m is ambitious. If it can sit at around 1.2 each night it will be doing its job. They will be hoping it J-Curves: ie. an expected sudden drop after curiosity is out of the way then begins to rebuild as people connect with the characters. The jury is still out on the casting on this one, show could still go either way.

  9. When Sonia said she was the first Brit I thought the same about Anoushka, at least another intruder and wasn’t Miriam a Brit too? I’m sure the BB spin is she is the first full time Brit housemate, and not a temporary one like previous… Not exactly a major “first” for BB…

  10. I tuned in to the second ep last night and like many others I am disappointed with the mostly white young housemates.

Looks like the stereotypical gay ‘bitchy’ housemate is going in tonight and probably will clash with the country girl who got a few boos the other night for her racist views on asylum seekers.

I’m guessing the more interesting housemates will make their entries later in the series – much like what happened with the original Ten series. Some of the best housemates ever were ‘intruders’.

So far the 12 HMs already in are not very interesting IMO.
