Airdate: Rollin’ With… The Gympie Muster 2012

Next month the Country Music Channel (CMC) screens the The Gympie Music Muster, with the Australian premiere of Rollin’ With… The Gympie Muster 2012. 

Hosted by Australian country music stars, O’Shea (Mark and Jay), this 30min special goes behind the scenes at an event which features Kenny Rogers and an all star list of Australian acts.

O’Shea chat backstage to bluegrass band Mustered Courage, as well as McAlister Kemp and the legendary Kenny Rogers. Then, together with rising star of Australian country music Chelsea Basham, Mark and Jay surprise some Muster veterans with a special performance at the infamous Kevvie’s Muster Bar (a makeshift campsite built by festivalgoers each year). Afterwards, CMC throws a campsite party with a BBQ cook up, campfire and a singalong with O’Shea, McAlister Kemp, Chelsea Basham, Mustered Courage and Pete Denahy on the fiddle.

Set in Queensland’s beautiful Amamoor Creek State Forest Park, The Gympie Music Muster attracts thousands of festivalgoers from around the nation annually with its stellar lineup of local and international artists, diverse entertainment programs, plus the vibrant community atmosphere the festival has become renowned for over the past 30 years. Interestingly, The Gympie Music Muster played a part in launching the career of host Mark O’Shea after he won the Muster Talent Search when was 16.
