Three seasons of Underbelly, and one from New Zealand, have been sold to UK based international broadcaster and distributor CBS Chello Zone.
Underbelly, Underbelly: A Tale of Two Cities, Underbelly: The Golden Mile, and Underbelly NZ: Land of the Long Green Cloud will air on the channel, which plays thematic television channels across Europe, the Middle East, Africa and Asia.
The original Underbelly series premieres in the UK later this month on CBS Action, a joint venture with CBS Studios International.

I know Hulu in the US offers seasons of Underbelly there-but not last year’s or this year’s.
Hulu offers shows from channels such as ABC,who are content partner-has its own page there and the only Australian FTA channel to so do.
There also some 9 and TEN shows on there but provided to Hulu via program distributors like eOne for Underbelly.
@PJC..I don’t think it’s been shown in Australia. Some critics suggested the series traded off substance and character development for a rapid pace and series style so after reading that at the time I presumed the spin-off would be quite similar in tone and screen presence to the Aussie series. Would be interesting to compare though as you say.
Any chance Nine would play Underbelly: Land of the Long Green Cloud? Perhaps on GO! or Gem? Or have they already and I missed it..? Curious to see whether it stacks up against the main franchise or if a poorer imitation?
@Jennome…I can’t think what film it was…Australia?…anyway…I know several American people who said they really battled to understand the Aussie accents. I wouldn’t have thought it was so difficult but you make a good point.
I hope they’ve sub-titled them. Specially the current series, it really needs sub-titles!
@ Brekkie – I believe the first 2 or 3 seasons aired in the U.S. on DirecTV’s 101 (now The Audience Network) with farely good results. It’s good to see that Aussie productions are making an international presence, look at Rove LA for example which is aired in 4 countries (FOX8 – Aust., E! – U.K., PRIME – N.Z., and TV Guide Network – U.S.),
A very, very smal cable channel.
It’s never got a decent outing but Underbelly has aired in Scotland on STV and I think across the UK on FX.
Not sure how this will do here in the uk we have enough stuff like this already but I would like to see house husbands over here, looks quite good.
