  1. Oh good grief! Pish posh! Poppycock! Balderdash! Drivel! Absolutely useless ‘fast tracking’ in omission of ‘Blue Bloods’, ‘Elementary’ and irregular programing of all other entertainment. The pitiful display of dysfunction overwhelms any effort to avoid contempt of the failure of character in Australian broadcasting. The resolve to refrain from all unnecessary Australian commerce is galvanized by this kind of ineptness.

  2. Sorry. Just was trying to point out that in this day and age where people don’t have to wait, wasn’t telling anyone to do anything ‘illegal’, just that it’s what people will do. It’s 2012 and the networks need to get it in their minds about more regular fast tracking for shows, especially if they’re just repeating episodes of old seasons of shows and movies.
Why is channel 7 making Australia wait till at least Feb 2013 for new episodes of Revenge?

  3. For people making comments about NCIS, the plan (according to the TEN newsletter) is to fasttrack season 10 in early October. So it could be one week behind the US. Doesn’t mean they wont screw with it again like they did with S9, but at least that seems like something 🙂

  4. I really can’t remember properly what TEN were up to on White Collar, I think they may have stopped at Episode 10 and have missed the last 6.

I gave up on waiting for TEN to restart it, however I think it was Ep 10 by reading the episode descriptions and that’s why I gave up waiting as I had to know what ended up happening after that mid-season break (will probably just wait and buy Season 4 on Amazon and watch it all).

Like JB said with NCIS, that’s half the problem, you give-up when they cut them short and either find a way too watch shows out or just give up altogether.

However, if the shows were fast-tracked and played in line with the US schedule, then those US breaks wouldn’t matter so much if we were up to date and breaking with them (if they’ve aired temptation gets me).

  5. I doubt Ten will fast track Glee after what happened last year. They fast-tracked season three and then got burnt when FOX took the series off for two weeks for baseball. It never really recovered after that and was banished to Friday nights afterwards

  6. I think JB is right. Ten need a point of difference and being the risk-taking young-people network isn’t going to cut it this time around.

Giving us quality overseas shows in a timely manner (generally within 7 days), with intelligent scheduling (people are creatures of habit), starting them at their advertised times, and demonstrating respect toward both the shows and the viewers by allowing them to build a loyal audience will see them reap the benefits.

They should advertise these things widely to let everybody know, obviously on 7 and 9 since hardly anyone is watching 10 at the moment.

  7. @ JohnnyIP5 had White collar season 3 aired in full? I am still waiting for season 2 to air in Qld. I know s3 started but I will but it on DVD when it had aired!

  8. @ George 100 I assume if TEN Fast-track these shows they will be at the mercy of how the U.S.A airs them so it will be spread out well into next year.

Hawaii Five-O last season ran from Sep. 19, 2011 to May 14, 2012, they have breaks in shows quite a bit, sometimes 2 weeks off 2 weeks on 4 weeks off etc (House did this over there quite a bit).

White Collar for instance runs 10 eps and then breaks and comes back for 6 more, Season 3 was Ep 1 Jun 7, 2011 to Ep 10 Aug 9, 2011 then Ep 11 Jan 17, 2012 to Ep 16 Feb 28, 2012 (and this season 4 is doing the same).

Mid-Season breaks are common in lots of shows over there, so I would expect Fast-tracking them will give us that same break schedule, so shows will go till mid next year.

It will be interesting how they fill those breaks though.

  9. If Ten has a brain they will fast track every show of theirs. It’s the only way to bring in shows to fill all these empty slots.
Still waiting for new Ncis to be moved back to tues Ten!
