Report: US network eyeing My Kitchen Rules

A US network is considering buying the format rights to the Seven-owned My Kitchen Rules.

A US network is considering buying the format rights to My Kitchen Rules, the Sunday Telegraph reports.

The cooking show, set to screen its fourth season in 2013, is a Seven-owned format under Executive Producer Rikkie Proost.

Despite the fact that elements closely shadow Come Dine with Me and MasterChef it has proven a winner with viewers -this year screening up to 5 nights a week and proving a ratings powerhouse.

Hosted by Manu Feildel and Pete Evans, MKR was a spin-off from My Restaurant Rules which had two seasons hosted by Curtis Stone and Ian ‘Dicko’ Dickson.

Other Aussie formats will be ‘on sale’ to the world this week at MIPCOM in France.

  1. I think it can really work for america on a broadcast network. Perhaps ABC would have to be seriously considering axing DWTS and a few other reality shows and need a replacement.
