Returning: Survivor, Mike and Molly.

Nine has now confirmed its premiere of Season 25 of Survivor, set in The Philippines.

Nine has now confirmed its premiere of Season 25 (yes, that’s 25) of Survivor, set in The Philippines.

It begins 10:30pm Tuesday October 16th with a 90 minute episode, following Mike and Molly at 10pm.

Deserted in the exotic Philippines, three tribes square off as they embark on the adventure of a lifetime. Medically evacuated veterans Michael Skupin, Jonathan Penner and Russell Swan return to battle for the title of Sole Survivor. Meanwhile, former teen star Lisa Whelchel (“The Facts of Life”) fights to shield her identity from the tribe and, despite his athletic background, former National League MVP Jeff Kent (San Francisco Giants) hits a rough patch early in the game.

The series began in the US in late September, but while there have been online spoilers hopefully we can still catch up to the US.

  1. I also missed the first episode because of the late time that this program is shown. Is there any chance that Survivor will be shown as repeats on Go! as channel 9 did for series 24? 9’s scheduling really is annoying for fans of Survivor.

  2. If people like me are really upset with this, I suggest writing a letter and/or calling Channel 9 about it because I’m sure if some people do, then it would be thought about. I just don’t understand the logic in putting a family friendly show like Survivor at 10.30pm when it would rate really well if given an appropriate time slot. It sucks being a Survivor fan in Australia.

  3. 10pm for Mike and Molly is just stupid.I am not sure if Nine have a catch up system for any shows missed like the other channels yet.

Not sure what season Mike and Molly is being shown but all we know is Channel 9 could be several months behind.

  4. Wow, 10.30pm And 4 episodes behind? Really? I really don’t understand why the hell they treat this show like absolute trash when if they gave it a decent 8.30pm or 9.00pm timeslot it would rate really well.

It really annoys me that Big Fat Gypsy Weddings and Embarrassing Bodies get better timeslots when Survivor would get much better ratings if it was in their timeslot. Makes no sense to me!!! Come on Channel 9!!

  5. Wake up 9! You have three channels and are 3 eps behind! You are showing this at a ridiculous time for most people. Most whom want to watch this will have downloaded it already.

  6. All my favourite shows are returning…Survivor and Supernatural. But I feel sorry for those who can’t record digital channels. The timeslot sucks.

  7. Please channel nine air survivor at a reasonable hour.Think of us mums who became survivor fans before the little úns came along.I am exhausted by 10pm and unfortunately do not have the wherewithal to record shows.8.30 is the right timeslot for survivor. At least put it on catchup tv.

  8. Why don’t they just put it on at 8.30pm Wednesday, instead of Big Fat Gypsy Weddings. Survivor is a much better show, and it would rate much higher than what Gypsy Wedding is rating right now!!!!!

  9. Gee its a pity ch9 dont have a couple of other channels so they could show it at a reasonable hour. Oh well looks like i will set the PVR for every other tuesday between 10.30 and 4am and hope not to miss the end of the episode.

  10. Too late Nine. 3 episodes have already aired and several more would have by time you get round to starting it.

Quite sad Nine holds more regard to My Big Fat Gypsy Wedding and Embarrassing Bodies. Both are already airing and have better timeslots.
