Joining Rove McManus this weekend are The Soup and Community star Joel McHale, comedic actress Wendi-McLendon Covey and the very versatile comedian Wayne Brady.
Joel McHale is a comedian, actor, television personality and voice artist. He currently hosts E! Entertainment’s The Soup, while also starring as Jeff Winger, a snarky community college student in the comedy series Community. Other film and television credits include Ted, What’s My Number?, The Informant and Sons of Anarchy.
On ROVE LA, Joel’s witty one-liners and charming persona show why he is currently one of Hollywood’s hottest properties, but we also discover why a college lie nearly killed him.
Wendi McLendon-Covey got her start at the world famous Groundling Theatre in Los Angeles, where she excelled at improv and sketch comedy. Wendi is best known for her starring roles in Bridesmaids, Reno 911, Lovespring International and Rules of Engagement. Upcoming film and television appearances include Claires Cambodia, Cuban Fury, White Trash Christmas Carol, Modern Family and Kings of Van Nuys.
To Rove’s delight, Wendi shares the story of her ghostly encounter when she was just six years old, and also discusses her performance tours to the Kuwaiti army bases and what you “don’t see in the news”.
Wayne Brady is one of the most versatile performers in show business today, entertaining audiences with his acting, improv, singing and dancing on television, film and the stage. After winning an Emmy Award for his work on Whose Line Is It Anyway?, Brady went on to host his own syndicated talk/variety show, The Wayne Brady Show, which saw him win a further two Emmy Awards for Outstanding Talk Show Host. Wayne currently hosts the iconic CBS game show Let’s Make A Deal.
Wayne explains why a whole generation of children will never be able to look at popular Winnie-The-Pooh character Tigger the same way again, before revealing how the Wiggles were responsible for him producing a music album for kids.
The one hour series also gives Rove’s take on the LA way of life, providing a weekly slice of Hollywood that takes viewers beyond the tourist traps to discover why the phrase ‘Only in LA’ was coined.
This week, Rove visits a café that is famous for its labour inducing salad. With a number of so called “salad babies” now living in LA, Rove decides to test out the myth on a heavily pregnant woman.
Confirmed guests for episode six, next Sunday, November 4, are actor James Van Der Beek, Emmy Award-winning television host Jeff Probst and musician Ben Folds.
Rove LA Sunday, October 28 at 7.30pm FOX8.

Seemed to me that it was all a bit beneath Joel last night, he really wasn’t interested in being there….:|
