Guests tomorrow night on Rove LA are WWE‘s “The Miz”, The Walking Dead‘s Sarah Wayne Callies, and Rainn Wilson from The Office.
Rove found himself in geek heaven this week with a professional wrestler, a zombie-fighting actress and a sitcom nerd coming together for the second episode of Rove LA, which premieres this Sunday, October 7 at 7.30pm AEDT on FOX8.
As an avid supporter of all things nerdy, Rove described this week’s line-up – featuring WWE superstar “The Miz”, The Walking Dead actress Sarah Wayne Callies, and Rainn Wilson from The Office – as “nerd paradise”.
Rove has long been a fan of pro-wrestling, and you don’t get much bigger or better than The Miz. As WWE’s current Intercontinental Champion, The Miz is known for his strong ego, as well as his signature Skull Crushing Finale move. In his own words “I am The Miz and I am awesome.” On Rove LA we discover an “awesome” tough guy with a sensitive side and an un-nerving love for his WWE championship belt.
As one of the stars of the hit series The Walking Dead, Sarah Wayne Callies has found international fame thanks to her weekly encounters with zombies. Prior to her stint as gritty Lori Grimes on the show, she played Dr. Sarah Tancredi in Prison Break. She tells Rove the zombies on her hit series are actually really nice people.
Rainn Wilson portrays Dwight Schrute, an eccentric paper salesman whose ego knows no bounds, in the comedy series The Office. Wilson has numerous film and television credits to his name, including My Super Ex-Girlfriend, Full Frontal, Almost Famous, Six Feet Under, Law & Order: Special Victims Unit and Monk.
Wilson tells Rove of his hate of yoga, love of chess and his new found passion – interviewing famous people in the back of his van.
The one hour series also gives Rove’s take on the LA way of life, providing a weekly slice of Hollywood that takes viewers beyond the tourist traps to discover why the phrase ‘Only in LA’ was coined. This week, Rove becomes a movie star landing a dream role – in a low-budget, B-grade horror flick.
Sunday, October 7 at 7.30pm AEDT exclusive to FOX8.

Yeah but nothing on foxtel rates with high numbers. We pay, there for ratings matter less. It’s a show which definitely adds value to foxtel.
It promotes shows on foxtel and is entertaining in it’s own right. Tonight’s episode was once again quite funny. Even Roves non interview bits.. which need to be dropped… were decent. Although still way too long.
But yeah these people are on things shown on Foxtel. It’s completely worth while the stars coming on to promote the shows. The show is also shown in New Zealand, the UK and the US.
I’m surprised this show can somehow grab some large name stars like Rainn Wilson from The Office and Prison Break/TWD’s Sarah Wayne Callies.
Do their agents realise this show rates less than 50,000 viewers a week?
I loved Rove Live on Ten but caught some of Rove LA on Youtube and it looked rather rubbish…no interesting segments like What The/Flick Your Switch/Hang Up Don’t Hang Up…it was rather dull and boring like most US Talk shows.
I never liked Rove much on TEN. However I do enjoy Rove LA.
Last weeks was quite funny.
Still some of his bits and humor still fall flat.
How many people did it take to pry the IC belt out of Rove’s hands?
I remember a few years ago when he interviewed Ric Flair and had him put the figure four leg lock on him at the end of the interview.
Ah, the good old days when Ten actually had, what do you call them… viewers.
