Sally Obermeder cancer battle: “I’ve been given the all clear!”

Congratulations to Seven reporter Sally Obermeder who has won her battle against breast cancer.

Obermeder has tweeted, “So excited to report some good news – i’ve been given the all clear!”

She discovered she had aggressive, stage-three breast cancer the day before giving birth to her first child, Annabelle, last October.

In an interview with New Idea, she says, “It was like I was walking through a field of daisies and someone hit me with a baseball bat from behind. I didn’t see it coming.”

The Daily Telegraph reports Annabelle was an IVF baby and Obermeder has revealed in past interviews that her daughter helped her get through her cancer and chemotherapy.

Obermeder has received constant instant support across several networks with fund-raising events for her medical expenses.
