Today show heads to Melbourne

Nine’s Today show will be broadcasting from Bourke Street Mall in Melbourne once again this Friday ahead of the 2012 Melbourne Cup Carnival.

Hosts Karl Stefanovic and Lisa Wilkinson, along with Georgie Gardner, Ben Fordham, Richard Wilkins, Steve Jacobs and Emma Freedman, will broadcast Live from David Jones, Bourke Street Mall on Friday, November 2, from 5.30am to 9.00am on Channel Nine.

As well as an in-show fashion parade highlighting all the trackside trends, TODAY will be holding a Best Dressed Racewear competition, giving viewers the chance to win a $1000 David Jones voucher and two tickets to the Lexus marquee on Oaks Day, with return transfers to and from the track in a luxury Lexus vehicle.

“There’s nothing like being in Melbourne for the Spring Racing Carnival, and I’m looking forward to seeing the contenders for our Best Dressed Racewear competition,” Lisa Wilkinson said.

Karl Stefanovic said “Doing the show from Melbourne is always such a highlight for us – I can’t wait to be back. With any luck, I’ll have a win out at Flemington too – if anyone’s got any hot tips, let me know.”

During the program Neil Perry, one of Australia’s culinary masterminds, will whip up some delicious dishes live from Bourke Street Mall.
