TV Tonight will soon be asking you to vote for our finest Australian television characters -those fictional creations that writers, comedians and creative people have put on our screens.

But first it’s time for you to put forward some names….

Please leave your suggestions below in ANY the following categories:

Best Sitcom Character
Best Sketch Comedy Character
Best Soap Character
Best Drama Character (ie. other adult drama)
Best Kid’s TV character
Best Live Animal Character
Best Variety Character
Best Pay TV Character

NB: As this is a preliminary stage, names only need to be put forward once for consideration. So if your suggestion has already been put forward, you don’t need to repeat it.

All names must be fictional characters.

Voting will begin in a separate TV Tonight survey later.

  1. Frances from Winners and Losers Australia’s answer to Sex and the City’s Miranda Hobbes they have similarities in that they are both Mums looking after a kid.

  2. David, I’m just wondering if there should be a category for best fictional character in a TV commercial? If so, I nominate Rhonda and Ketut from the AAMI ads 🙂 I’ve seen the ad 100 times and still LOL every time I hear Rhonda say “Kiss me Ketut”
