WTFN forges South African deal

WTFN Entertainment has struck a deal with South Africa's Okuhle Media to co-develop factual content for the international market.

Australian production company WTFN Entertainment (Bondi Vet, Tony Robinson’s London Games Unearthed, The Living Room) has struck a deal with South Africa’s Okuhle Media to co-develop factual content for the international market.

Okuhle Media has produced titles such as daily live youth show Hectic Nine-9 (pictured), and documentaries Glitterboys and Ganglands and Bornfrees.

WTFN’s Head of International Co-Production, Shaun Gilmartin, said “a strategic global alliance like this makes absolute sense, each production house will gain detailed inside knowledge of the other’s territory and by pooling in house development talent it can only strengthen the creative process.”

Joint CEO & Executive Producer for Okuhle, Louise Van Hoff added, “we are very excited by this alliance, in the market today collaboration of our talent, creative ideas and co-production will strengthen both companies global footprint.”

Both companies will be at MIPCOM this October.
