Aussies win at NZ TV Awards

A telemovie written and produced by Aussies won five awards at the NZ 2012 Television Awards.

The New Zealand 2012 Television Awards were held on the weekend and Screentime NZ picked up five awards for the telemovie Siege, produced by Australian Producer Ric Pellizzeri (Blue Heelers, Neighbours).

Based on a 2009 suburban seige in Napier, it picked up Best One-Off Drama, Best Script for John Banas (City Homicide), Best Actor, Best Supporting Actress and Best Sound Design.

Underbelly NZ lost out on Best Series to Go Girls, while The Block NZ  won a Directing award.
