Australia’s Funniest Home Videos: grand final

There's Delta Goodrem, Reece Mastin and some serious prizes for just sending in a whacky video.

This Saturday Nine screens its annual Funniest Home Videos Grand Final.

The bad news is the first prize has dropped from $250k to $150k this year (that’s still more cash than the Masterchef winner nabbed). The good news is there are now runner up prizes: not one but two 4WD cars for runner-up and $30k for third place.

All for sending in a whacky video…..

Delta Goodrem and Reece Mastin are also both performing.

Guessing all the clips will be Aussie originals this time around….?

Gather the whole family together and join host Shelley Craft as we say farewell to the 22nd season of Australia’s Funniest Home Videos in a very special Grand Final episode this Saturday, November 24, at 6.30pm on Channel Nine.

In a bumper send-off to another rollicking season, Australia’s queen of music, Delta Goodrem, will perform her multi-platinum, smash-hit single and feel-good anthem of 2012, Sitting on Top of the World.

Joining Delta at Funniest HQ will be pop sensation Reece Mastin who will treat viewers to a high-energy performance of his brand new single, Rockstar.

More than 12,000 clips have been submitted this year, with around 5,000 videos shown over almost 40 episodes.

Now, it all comes down to one night. Six Grand Finalists will battle it out for a first prize cash windfall of $150,000.

The first runner-up will take home two brand new cars from Mitsubishi, while our third placegetter will walk away with a cool $30,000.

6:30pm Saturday on Nine.

  2. I’m sorry to say but Shelley the host annoys me so much- I really think this show should come to an end- very right this show should have been gone years ago!
