Ratings: Wednesday proved to be a low rating night, with Seven the only network able to crack the magic million.

Wednesday proved to be a low rating night, with no show able to reach 1.2m viewers. Seven was the only network able to crack the magic million. Steel yourself for a cruel summer with nights where everyone is under a million.

Seven Network was 31.0 then Nine 25.5%, TEN 19.5%, ABC 18.5% and SBS 5.6%.

The Force topped the night with 1.17m for Seven then Highway Patrol (1.13m), Seven News (1.11m), Today Tonight (956,000), Home and Away (956,000), Dynamo: Mission Impossible (768,000), Deal or No Deal (477,000), World’s Wildest Police Videos (476,000). Air Crash Investigations was 284,000.

Nine News (986,000) led for Nine then ACA (919,000), Big Bang (685,000), Hot Property (667,000), Big Fat Gypsy Weddings (653,000), Hot Seat (522,000), Embarrassing Bodies (489,000). Who Do You Think You Are? was 225,000.

Modern Family (606,000) was best for TEN. TEN News was 586,000, Glee was 565,000, The Good Wife was 548,000 / 507,000 and The Project 6pm was 422,000.

On ABC1 it was ABC News (922,000), 7:30 (745,000), Qi (720,000), A Moody Christmas (616,000), the final Hamster Wheel (606,000). Red Dwarf was 330,000 and At the Movies was 280,000.

Toughest Place to be A was 192,000 on SBS ONE then Monster Bug Wars (185,000), World News Australia (174,000) and The Anthrax Files (129,000).

Heartbeat on 7TWO topped multichannels with 291,000.

  1. Big Bang Deserves to do better.It’s the people who are so put off Home and Away ever since the arrival of the River Thugs back in 2009 that have made the switch to 9’s US Sitcoms and when it was at 7pm The Project.

  2. Pity Red Dwarf is getting low figures, it is actually quite good and seems to have got its mojo back, guess the Back Earth episodes have put people off taking a look.

  3. A Moody Christmas was great again. Laugh out loud funny.It is a format that could hold up on a commercial station I reckon. It would have a much bigger audience.
