Esther Anderson will reprise her role as policewoman Charlie Buckton in Home and Away despite being killed off a year ago.
News Limited reports Anderson, 33, will shoot “a handful” of episodes to air next year, despite dying of gunshot wounds in January.
The Gold Logie nominee left the series to try her luck in the US.
It isn’t yet clear how Charlie will return…Â Dallas-style dream sequence? Flashback scenes?
Neighbours recently announced the return of Detective Mark Brennan (Scott McGregor) who was also killed off, but at least his death took place off-screen, allowing writers a little more leeway to rewrite history.

I’m not surprised to hear that her luck in Hollywood has attempted and failed. She can’t act, full stop. I hope her character remain dead.

Thrilled to see her again, but no doubt she will be part of the long-winded river boys melodrama. So over them!

Yep @Ruddeger, just like Stephanie March (ADA Alex Cabot) in Law And Order SVU and Paget Brewster (Emily Prentiss) in Criminal Minds both of whom we saw gunned down and buried with a funeral.
If it was an American show they’d just say she wasn’t really killed off but faked it and was taken into Witness Protection.

Yes! I’m glad her character is coming back. Oh and Steph Scully (Carla Bonner) is also returning to Neighbours next year.

Yes wrote about Carla Bonner a few weeks ago, but her character was not deceased.
