Nine appoints new Sports Sales Director

Nine has appointed Melbourne Sport Sales Manager Sam Brennan to the role of Sports Sales Director of the Nine Network. He will report directly to Director of Sales, Michael Stephenson.

Peter Wiltshire, Group Sales and Marketing Director of Nine Entertainment Co., said: “We are delighted to welcome Sam as the newest member of the senior leadership team at Nine Sales. Sport is an incredibly important portfolio for Nine and we look forward to Sam leading us in this crucial area.

Michael Stephenson said: “During his time as Melbourne Sport Sales Manager, Sam has demonstrated outstanding leadership skills and delivered exceptional results for his clients. His passion for sport, together with his ability to think strategically, made him the right person to lead our prestigious sport sales portfolio. We congratulate Sam on his promotion.”

Sam Brennan added: “Wide World of Sports has never been in better shape. We have the biggest sporting events delivering massive audiences week in, week out across the entire year. I’ve grown up watching Wide World of Sports and the opportunity to lead this outstanding sport sales team is a huge opportunity that I can’t wait to take up.”

The appointment is effective immediately with Brennan relocating to Sydney in January.
