Returning: Once Upon a Time. Airdate: Grimm

If you like your modern day fairytales, you'll be in Seven heaven.

Fans of fantasy and fairytales have never had it so good.

As previously tipped, Seven is returning Once Upon a Time to screen with new episodes.

It resumes 7:30pm November 22nd. TV Tonight understands it will continue through summer.

Reality and myth begin to merge as the fairytale characters awaken from Evil Queen Regina’s broken curse and remember who they were. But to their dismay, they aren’t transported back to the fairytale land. To make matters worse, Mr Gold, in an effort to gain the upper hand in his power struggle with Regina, introduces magic into the town. In the fairytale world magic has its place, but in our world, it can have unfathomable consequences. Meanwhile, Prince Phillip awakens his sleeping beauty, Aurora, but discovers that he and his travelling companion, Mulan, will soon have to face a deadly foe.

Grimm, which has screened on Foxtel, also gets a run on Seven from 9:30pm Tuesday November 20th. A mix of procedural crime and fairytales in a modern setting, this features David Giuntoli, Russell Hornsby and Bitsie Tulloch.

Portland homicide Detective Nick Burkhardt discovers he is descendant of an elite line of criminal profilers known as ‘Grimms,’ charged with keeping balance between humanity and the mythological creatures of the world. As he tries to hide the dangers of his new found calling from his fiancée, Juliette, and his partner, Hank, he becomes even more entrenched in the ancient rivalries and alliances of the Grimm world. With help from his reluctant confidant, Monroe, a reformed Grimm creature himself, Nick must navigate through the forces of a larger-than-life mythology.

  1. @Bogues & that’s what I wanted to know. I presume Rayne is right about X Factor freeing up space. Winners & Losers is out next week because of X Factor (I believe it will be the final that night?), then it will finish too as it said it only had one episode left at the end of it (I think, I wasn’t paying attention as I don’t watch it I was just waiting for Greys to start :P). So with both of those shows out that leaves plenty of room for Grimm & Greys both to still be on on Tuesdays. Shame they couldn’t just keep Greys on next week & bring in Grimm to replace Winners & Losers after it finishes. Well presuming they are keeping Greys & just screwing around with us.

  2. Have not heard of any of the actors in Grimm and I agree, it must be a dud if its being played during summer. How far has it gotten in the States?

Good to hear Once Upon A Time is back though, that was a big hit for 7.

  3. If anyone was wondering, that is 7:30 Thursdays for OUAT

Grimm is a good show but it takes around seven episodes before it really finds itself. If you enjoy shows like Buffy and Supernatural, it is worth watching

  4. Great to see OUAT coming back, hope it will air in the Summer & we catch up to the US 🙂

Does Grimm starting mean that Greys will be out or moved to another night or time?

I would have thought they would have paired OUAT & Grimm together since they are similar themed…
