TEN News Sports Presenter Rob Canning is the latest name added to the long list of employees to be departing.

Canning has been with the network since 2000 and was announced as a part of the weekend News at Five presenting team at the end of last year.

He was Sports Tonight‘s youngest ever presenter when anchoring the show in 2003 at the age of 22.

A TEN spokesperson told the Sydney Morning Herald, “As a result of the changes to the News and Operations department Rob Canning will be leaving TEN.

“Rob has been with TEN for several years and most recently has presented the sport on TEN’s Weekend News bulletin.

“He is a highly regarded presenter and reporter and we wish him the very best for the future.”

  1. mistaken – I agree the way they have handled some of the sackings disgracefuly – especially Helen Kapalos.

    I am sure Helen – or some other sacked Ten employee – will write about this one day and we will learn the truth.

    If you want to learn more about the goings on behind the scenes of a major network – I highly recommend Gerald Stone’s ‘Who killed Channel 9?’. It’s a cracking read and I think very appropriate in these puzzling times in the tv industry.
