Seven still tops the Late List

So far Seven is yet to shift its position as the biggest offender on the Late List, according to readers.

A longer Seven News bulletin in Brisbane last week meant Seven’s programming ran late for much of the night, resulting in readers filing entries on TV Tonight‘s Late List.

There were 38 entries for October 28 – November 3

Seven: 15
Nine: 13
TEN: 6
ABC: 3
Other: 1

Amongst the entries were:

Bones: Advertised time: 8:42pm / Actual: 9:05pm
The Mentalist: Advertised time: 8:30pm / Actual: 8:46pm
Surveillance Oz: Advertised time: 8pm / Actual: 8:10pm
NCIS: Advertised time: 8:30pm / 8:37pm
Everybody Loves Raymond: Advertised time: 7pm / Actual: 7:06pm

You can register shows on the Late List here.

NB: The Late List is a crowd-sourcing trial and is not scientifically conducted. It relies on the trust of readers to resource information.

  1. Thats very interesting with Bones on Sunday, i watched it and it started close if no on time, i turned the TV on at 8.45 cause i could tell i had missed the beginning

  2. It is not only late, that Seven or rather in this case 7TWO advertised in daily press of a starting time for “Heartbeat” Wed night of 8.00 pm, then started it at approx 7.32, Maybe some one forgot to tell their play out centre of the change. Not happyat all !

  3. Any channel that can run overtime whilst screening a pre-recorded series 5 nights a week, such as Home and Away, is purely thumbing its nose at viewers and ACMA, this over run then multipies throughout the entire night, virtually every night of the week.

It is only a fine line between contempt and sheer arrogance, and it is either one or both of these traits being displayed by the 7 network, as they say ” Up Yous All “

  4. Bones only started a couple of minutes late in Tasmania. Not sure of the exact time but it was on well before 9pm. I wonder if this was only because of the longer Brisbane news mentioned above.

  5. Seven are atrocious. How they hell did Bones start over 20 minutes late.
You can kinda get over a few minutes (i.e. 7pm – 7.02/7.04pm) but when it starts getting 10 minutes plus its just a bit of a joke, when it gets to 20 mins + it just shows a total lack of respect for your audience.
