Take a look at “Rhonda” now!

Guest starring in ABC's A Moody Christmas like this? What would Ketut think?

Oh Rhonda! What would Ketut say?

Mandy McElhinney, best known for her popular car insurance ads as “Rhonda”, guest stars in this week’s episode of ABC’s A Moody Christmas.

The chameleon actor plays a homeless woman in the comedy about family Christmas gatherings that embarrass everyone. But by the looks of this photo, Rhonda still needs a bit more pampering in Bali!

The comedy also features another well-known face from TV commercials: Robina Beard best known as Madge, ‘You know you’re soaking in it!’

McElhinney will also be appearing next year in Paper Giants: Magazine Wars.

Dan (Ian Meadows) gets home Christmas Eve to find everyone heading to carols by candlelight to see Terry (Danny Adcock) sing. The event is marred when Terry breaks down on stage over his split with his wife.

In an effort to have a more meaningful Christmas, Maree (Tina Bursill) drags Dan to a homeless shelter next morning, where she and Cora (Jane Harber) are volunteering. After reconnecting with Cora following their kiss last year, Dan makes a faux pas with a homeless woman, Linda (Mandy McElhinney), whom he subsequently invites to lunch to make amends. Maree’s also invited her friend from work, Chris, in the vain hope her family won’t argue in front of a stranger at lunch.

Having set up an air-con business in direct competition with his father’s, Kevin delights in Sean (Patrick Brammall) being called out to fix one of the dodgy units he’s installed.

Meanwhile Roger (Phil Lloyd) and Bridget (Rachel Gordon) try to capitalise on Bridget’s ovulation window following her miscarriage earlier in the year. After Dan does Cora a favour by photographing her clothes for her application to a London fashion school, the day ends with a shock.

8:30pm Wednesday ABC1.

    1. Casting is not a Spoiler, storyline is a Spoiler. I haven’t published anything that isn’t in the official ABC release (italics). But there will always be content in a synopsis, whether it is film or TV. If you don’t want to know who has been cast in shows I think an entertainment blog is always going to be problematic. For instance Rachel Griffiths has been cast as in Magazine Wars too as Dulcie Boling, is that a Spoiler?
