Gone: White Collar

White Collar has disappeared from TEN, replaced by a repeat of Law and Order: SVU.

That didn’t take long.

White Collar has disappeared from TEN’s Thursday night line-up, replaced by a repeat of Law and Order: SVU as of tonight.

That was just one week…

TEN did trumpet its summer line-up with White Collar some weeks ago. Hopefully they will find a way of appeasing fans sooner rather than later.

  1. @Kenny Yep and there in lies part of the problem, the original price on Amazon for White Collar (June 5, 2012) was the same as the price of it in Australia for February 2013 release. You put in postage and Amazon at $6:00 (rounded and standard) and Aust at $2:00 (VideoEzy Standard price), if Ten played them in a timely fashion you would be more inclined to buy from an Aust online site.

So why I also think a play it in a timely manner or lose it law should be applied to TV Shows, the way it is, is also killing the retail sector having a fair chance with O/S prices. Also who knows maybe with TEN pulling it, that Februaru 06th release date may get blown out until later now.

  2. Could we be paying a penalty for eventually winning by the of sheer weight of numbers and eventually someone’s common sense, for not wanting Lachlan’s attack dog P. Henry to stay at Ten.

Given that someone at Ten obiviosly reads our posts, but seemingly for all the wrong reasons?

Why don’t we try to confuse them with some reverse psychcology, and ‘ plug’ shows we don’t like, as we all know what happens to previous shows we have liked, even goimg as far when Ten cuts shows like ‘White Collar’ we all rejoice via TV Tonight, and possibly it will reappear albeit in a different time slot within a week?

If nothing else we, may confuse them enough to at least keep watching some we actually enjoy.

  3. @Kenny, Yes I saw that on dvdland, videoezy, etc, however they’re all Pre-Orders and not available until Feb 06th 2013, which is I am guessing when TEN were due to finish showing it (hence my comment).

Same goes for Psych, you can only get Season’s 1,2,3 and 4 here, even though they’re up to Season 7 in the US.

So if you want these shows in a timely manner, you’re best to buy from Overseas sites like Amazon.

  4. @Cam Reed – If this is S3 then it’s available to buy on DVD here from dvdland, videoezy, etc., and “coming soon” on Quickflix.
Our house has given up on TEN and just watch it on DVD now.

  5. They could easily move White Collar to ONE, instead of 2 Episodes of Psych on Thursday make it White Collar and Psych, then again so far Psych has been on 11:30-1:30, 12:30-2:30 and 10:30-12:30 in as many weeks (though it seems steady now).

No wonder people get frustrated and go to other ways of watching shows now, it also causes people to buy the DVD’s from overseas as unless TEN have played it, it can’t be sold here (and from what I understand it holds Pay TV back as well).

Time a show it or lose it period was introduced into Australia and the Hulu, Netflix (or Quickflix with a stream), etc; were here to take those shows and show them … it’s time to stop protecting this dinosaur thinking by the networks.

  6. I wonder if Beverely McGarvey at Ten actually reads what viewers say on David’s website. She’s probably too busy sending out Christmas cards to her mates on the north shore.

On a seperate note: TEN have shelved the Late News until January 21st. Since when does the news go on an extended break? TEN=Fail

  7. Pete, I’d been wondering about Medium, I knew it had finished overseas but wasn’t sure if we had seen all the episodes here yet, so apparently not. Typical!!!
