Louise Milligan joins 7:30

Seven News investigative reporter Louise Milligan joins ABC's 7:30.

Former Seven News Melbourne reporter Louise Milligan will join ABC1’s 7:30.

As Milligan was an investigative reporter, it’s a coup for ABC.

“Louise won the position from a very strong field and shortlist,” ABC current affairs head Bruce Belsham said.

“Her reports have resulted in army, medical board and ombudsman inquiries and she has been highly commended for the Grant Hattam Award for Investigative Journalism two years running.”

  1. She’s pulled off a whole string of hard-hitting investigative / FoI type stories recently so a pretty big loss for or 7News Melbourne, in currently its weakest market and certainly a big coup for the ABC… I think she’ll further strengthen the already improving ‘7.30’.

  2. Louise was originally 7 News Sydney’s “State Political Editor” however she transferred to Melbourne to become their equivalent.

The unethical Adam Walters replaced her at Sydney and still holds the position. The man should have lost his job in 2010.
