7TWO scored record ratings on Saturday night as Bernard Tomic took victory at the APIA International over South African Kevin Anderson.
7TWO pulled an average of 555,000 viewers, giving the network a whopping 11.1% channel share.
That was enough to pip TEN’s primary channel share of  10.8%.
It was the second largest-ever audience for a digital channel in Australia.
This is the first time in Australian television history that local Live sport on a digital channel has defeated a free to air primary channel.

Not surprised at this. Its kind of ironic isnt it. just 2 or 3 years ago Ten was at the forefront of HD Sports broadcasting or at least Multichannel sports broadcasting, and Seven was stubborn and recalsitrant, how its all changed within 2 years amazing. I enjoyed the summer of Tennis on 7Two this season so far no uncessary breaks, Live around the Nation and no need to leave the coverage for the News simply ausome. Yes no HD but hey Live around the Nation is pretty good too.
David,
That 7TWO Facebook site is not offical. It’s someone’s fanpage.
Secret Squirrel – hold your bile for another day.
Lachlan Murdoch should resign.
ELEVEN will have no impact on ratings if it keeps showing replays of “love boat’, MacGyver, 7th Heaven & brady bunch
David, you are being too diplomatic. 7Two didn’t borrow your article, they stole it. However, it is consistent with the lack of originality of most of their programming.
