Airdate: 1600 Penn

Bill Pullman returns in the role of a US president, but this time in a small screen comedy.

2013-01-07_2017This weekend The Comedy Channel premieres 1600 Penn, with Bill Pullman and Jenna Elfman starring as the US President and First Lady.

Pullman of course played a gung-ho president in Independence Day.

Only one episode has aired in the US so far, with Foxtel fast-tracking the remaining eps.

The Gilchrist’s are just the average American family dealing with all the everyday issues – they’re loving, fun and a little crazy, just like everybody else with one exception: they live in a very special house, The White House. Whether it’s entertaining foreign dignitaries, sneaking away for a night out, dealing with middle school crushes or putting out fires – figuratively and sometimes literally – there’s never a dull moment in the Gilchrist White House. Starring Jenna Elfman, Bill Pullman, Josh Gad and Adam Shapiro.

Sundays from January 13th at 9.30pm.

  1. Got through the pilot. Not sure how though. Enjoyed Bill Pullman being the president again but the show was not funny at all. And I enjoy most things.

  2. I could’t get past the 15 minute mark of the first episode, with Josh Gadd once again showing he is a terrible actor playing terrible characters. If you do not know who this is, he was on the short lived ‘Back to You’ with Kelsey Grammer and Patricia Heaton. He played the unfunny news producer.
