First anniversary for A&E

Yesterday marked the first anniversary of factual entertainment channel A&E.

Since launching on Foxtel the factual entertainment channel has premiered new seasons of Storage Wars, Pawn Stars, Storage Hunters, Hardcore Pawn and a local series of MegaTruckers.

First year highlights include:
· Number 1 Factual Channel on the Foxtel platform
· Fastest growing non-sport channel launch
· Top 5 channel on the Foxtel platform in 2012 for people 16-39, men 18-49 and men 25-54
· Top 6 channel on the Foxtel platform in 2012 for total viewers

A&E General Manager, Jim Buchan said: ”A&E’s first year has exceeded our expectations taking the lead as Australia’s most popular factual channel. We’re thrilled to have launched a brand that has resonated so spectacularly with a new audience. The great content continues and 2013 will be another huge year for the channel.”

Aussie Pickers is currently in production featuring  Lucas Callaghan and Adam McDonald from Shine Australia.

It will premiere mid-year.

  1. Pawn Stars,Hardcore Pawn,American Restoration & MegaTruckers are great shows.
    Storage Wars isn’t bad to watch when nothing else is on.
    Good to see Counting Cars is coming to A&E in March.Danny from Pawn Stars does some nice cars.
