Adam Zwar to host Australian Directors’ Guild Awards

Adam Zwar will host the ADG Awards at Hoyts Cinemas at the Entertainment Quarter in May.

2013-03-19_1144Adam Zwar has been announced as host of the 2013 Australian Directors’ Guild Awards.

The ADG has also announced a new and larger venue this year, Hoyts Cinemas at the Entertainment Quarter, Moore Park, with a dinner to follow at the nearby Trackdown Studios.

“The 2013 Awards, which were our 30th anniversary event, saw a huge surge in interest from both ADG members, the general public and the broader industry. As a result, we sold out and couldn’t accommodate the many people who wanted to attend,” said ADG Executive Director, Kingston Anderson.

“Everyone who managed to get a ticket had so much fun last year that we’re sure the number of people wanting to come this year will be even greater. By moving to Hoyts we are now able to sell 400 tickets to the ceremony. However, tickets to the dinner will still be much sought after as there are only 200 on offer so I urge anyone interested to get in fast.”

The categories in the 2013 ADG Awards are:

1. Feature Film
2. Telemovie
3. Animation
4. Documentary Standalone
