The+Saturdays+Chasing++PromoAn observational series that follows the English-Irish girl group The Saturdays begins on E! next month.

The group has been around since 2008 with the songs “Just Can’t Get Enough,” “If This is Love,” “Missing You,” and “All Fired up.”

In this series they attempt to crack America. It’s a bit like The Monkees and S Club 7 having US series, innit?

The UK’s hottest girl-group to take over the states in nearly two decades, The Saturdays are set to wow viewers with their fierce style, fun-loving personalities, and harmonic voices when E!’s new docu-series “Chasing The Saturdays” premieres on Tuesday, April 23 at 9:30pm.

To date, the sexy and talented young women have had eleven Top 10 singles in the UK and three Top 10 UK albums. In addition to releasing a string of chart-topping hits, the uber-stylish group made up of Frankie Sandford, Mollie King, Una Healy, Vanessa White and Rochelle Humes has dominated the UK media due to their high-profile romances, influential and edgy fashion sense, celebrated friendships, engaging personalities and of course their undeniable talent. Now, the fab-five are ready for their next challenge as they take the US by storm to work on their highly anticipated fourth album and take over American play lists from coast to coast as E! cameras are granted unprecedented access into the private lives of The Saturdays.

The series’ inaugural season focuses on the band taking up residence in Los Angeles where they will live, work and play together as they expand their incredibly successful music careers and break into the American music market. As soon as The Saturdays arrive in style to their new home, they immediately head into the recording studio to begin working on their album — the first to be released internationally. Cameras will follow as they shoot the music video for their first American single, “What About Us,” featuring the Grammy-winning reggae artist Sean Paul. The girls will also debut the song for the first time at a Hollywood hot spot as well as perform a set at an exclusive VMA after party hosted by Perez Hilton. However, translating UK fame overseas is not easy when the work, travel and distance start to take its toll on the girls and they begin to miss their loved ones back home. Newlyweds Rochelle and Una have the hardest time but luckily the girls are able to lean on one another along with a few special friends here in the States including The Wanted, who bring some British familiarity back into the scene.

But living in America isn’t all work and no play as the girls are quick to learn when they make head-turning appearances at New York Fashion Week, let loose at the Los Angeles County Fair and perform to a sold out crowd at the historic The Roxy in Hollywood. The season is full of highs and lows as the girls’ fame and success continues to grow, signing with renowned music label Mercury Records on their debut US album, while simultaneously battling living abroad and adjusting to life across the pond. Through it all, the five women, each with her own individual personality, style and quirks, are in the end, best friends and each other’s biggest fans.

Meet The Saturdays

Mollie King is a girly girl and reigns as the fashion maven of the group. Throughout the season, the girls are continuously on the hunt to help find Mollie her Mr. Right. Mollie’s dating history is about as colourful as her outfits and it will definitely take a very special man to make the bubbly blonde settle down. A diehard Britney Spears fan, Mollie loves fashion and pop culture, though still gets star struck around other celebs. The fashionista is currently the only single member of the band, and lives with her toy poodle, Alfie.

Frankie Sandford, formerly of the group S Club Juniors, is a prankster with a devilish sense of humour and has been steadily dating hunky Manchester City football star, Wayne Bridge. During the season Frankie, who has publicly addressed her battle with depression, reaches out to a fan who is also currently struggling with her own issues. Even as a mentor and living a life in the spotlight, Frankie still must confront her own obstacles. She encounters a panic attack during an overwhelming response by eager fans at a night club and faces a devastating family loss right before The Saturdays’ biggest American gig to-date. Frankie is also an animal lover and has two dogs, Pixie and Presley.

Vanessa White is the youngest member of The Saturdays and the party girl of the group. The sweet and sassy pocket sized diva is always turned to by her Sats sisters for a good time. While Una is missing her husband and baby, Vanessa takes her for an unforgettable night out in the Big Apple. Vanessa also has her fair share of heartache as her relationship with her boyfriend hits a rough patch during their timely separation and the pop singer makes an emergency appointment with a doctor to discuss a condition that is affecting her vocals in the group’s performances.

Una Healy is the only one in the band who’s not a native Londoner – she’s a proud Irish lass through-and-through. The redheaded bombshell recently married the equally handsome England national rugby union player, Ben Foden, and is a new mother of an adorable blue-eyed baby girl. But, Una’s life is shaken unexpectedly when Ben faces a possible career ending injury. With his future unknown and his wife in the States, Ben makes a trip to the US, complete with a cast and crutches. It’s a full house for Una as her mother plays nanny and her hubby needs a bit of babying himself.

Rochelle Humes is also former member of S Club Juniors along with The Saturdays’ band mate Frankie, and is a hopeless romantic and a total shopaholic. As a newlywed married to Marvin Humes of the boy-band JLS, Rochelle and her hubby, dubbed “Roch and Pecs” in the UK, are looking to settle in together and start a family. But being separated by the Atlantic and two demanding careers is not making it easy on the couple, especially as they are forced to shop for a new home via Skype. With so much pressure beginning to wear on Rochelle, the band stages an intervention to help relieve some stress. When she’s not shopping for homes, decorating her non-existent-new-home, planning birthday parties for her band mates, the leggy beauty is quick to offer advice on clothes, hair, makeup and her band mates’ personal lives.
