US teen drama 90210 will end its run after five seasons.
“The CW has had five great seasons with America’s favorite zip code, 90210,” said The CW president Mark Pedowitz. “I’d like to thank the talented cast, producers, and crew for all their hard work and dedication to the series. We are very proud of the West Beverly High alumni.”
The reboot of Beverly Hills 90120, debuted in September 2008 with Shenae Grimes, Tristan Wilds, AnnaLynne McCord, Jessica Stroup, Michael Steger, Jessica Lowndes and Matt Lanter. Some former Beverly Hills 90210 faces also made appearances.
It aired intermittently in Australia on ELEVEN.
The CW has already given renewals to Supernatural, The Vampire Diaries and Arrow but decisiosn on Nikita, The Carrie Diaries, Hart of Dixie and Beauty and the Beast starring Jay Ryan are yet to be made.

Any idea if Channel 10 will start showing Beauty and the Beast at any stage??? I heard a while back that they had the rights to it and remember maybe even seeing an ad… but nothing has happened yet.
This show is absolutely horrible and the worst piece of garbage to air in the past 20 years – I’m glad it was axed. Season one was okay but season two was absolutely woeful – the constant recurring character of Naomi’s sister was tiresome and the characters were one dimensional and the plots hilariously bad
Gossip Girl was far better as a teen soap, but The OC leaves both in the wind
Is this announcement giving them enough time to end on a good note instead of a cliffhanger?
I’m surprised it lasted that long, in light of how pretty terribly it rated in the US, but I didn’t mind it. Eleven screened season 2 on 5 pm Sundays last year, but have yet to show seasons 3 – 5, so are 3 years behind.
As cheesy as this show was the 1st couple of seasons were a guilty pleasure but the 4th & 5th seasons sucked.
gona be honest with you – i thought this had already been cancelled years ago lol
Given it opened to average ratings (which slowly declined) and initial poor critical response the fact that they made it to 5 seasons is pretty impressive.
Leigh H – The original series lasted for ten seasons meaning that the simply titled 90210 lasted for half that time.
Anyone remember how long the original lasted out of interest?
Not surprising, it never attracted the buzz like the original and the ratings were pretty low even for a CW show
It lasted for five seasons? O_O
Didn’t actually watch 90210 but I hope Nikita and Hart of Dixie don’t get cancelled.
