Just ahead of her Australian visit Ellen gets some good news.
The Ellen DeGeneres Show has been renewed through to the 2016-17 season. That sounds like a good excuse to dance.
Ken Werner, president, Warner Bros. Domestic Television Distribution said, “Ellen is quite simply the best.
“Day in and day out she and her team produce a unique and compelling hour of entertainment which is appointment television for legions of women. We are absolutely thrilled that NBC, Ellen, Warner Bros. and all of our station partners will be continuing our successful relationship for years to come.”
Nationally, Ellen is tied with Dr. Phil for the No. 1 syndicated talk show this season among the key women 25-54 demographic and the show is up 13 percent year-on-year among women 25-54. It is pulling in 3.2 million viewers on average, its most-watched season since 2005-06.
Ellen visits Sydney and Melbourne next week with Portia de Rossi.
