2013-03-05_1048FOX has renewed a slew of titles including new Kevin Bacon thriller The Following.

New comedy The Mindy Project also wins a second season while New Girl and Raising Hope were also renewed for third and fourth seasons, respectively.

The Following is due to air in Australia on Nine, presumably post-Easter. FOX has ordered 15 episodes for its second season, the same order as its first run.

“From the very beginning, we felt Kevin Williamson and Marcos Siega had created a high-quality, edge-of-your-seat drama that could break from the pack, and it is exciting to see the audience responding,” said FOX Broadcasting Company’s Kevin Reilly.

The Mindy Project has been pulled from the schedule by Seven while TEN owns New Girl and Raising Hope.

  1. Glad The Following got renewed, even though it hasn’t aired here yet. After Easter, channel 9 have been showing ads for it ‘coming soon’ since before bloody Christmas!!!! I like New Girl so am glad it has been renewed too. Surprised at The Mindy Project, since all reviews say it is crap.

  2. what i want to know is when channel 10 is going to finish airing the rest of season 2 of new girl they played like 5 to 7 episodes and took it off

  3. Well in that case, can Seven move The Mindy Project to 7TWO? Although Mindy is targetted at a younger audience than 7TWO is aimed at, it is better there than on 7MATE or not on TV at all. Not to mention, Not to mention, Seven still have adverts for Mindy being on Seven, even though it has been taken off the schedule.

  4. I thought Mindy was a goner for sure, the renewal standards are dropping very fast in the US. Only 2-3 years ago shows rating like mindy would have been ripped off air after a few episodes, now they are getting renewed.
