2013-03-19_1625Singer / Dancer Timomatic has been named as the third judge to join Australia’s Got Talent on Nine.

Nigerian-born Timomatic, real name Tim Omaji, is himself a graduate of both Australia’s Got Talent and So You Think You Can Dance Australia. He moved to Australia with his family at the age of 10 months.

After landing third in AGT he released a single “Set it Off” with SONY which reached #2 on the ARIA single chart. Following his third single he was signed to an EMI global publishing deal and has supported Flo Rida, Salt N Pepa, Nicki Minaj, PitBull and performed at Miss Universe 2012.

He joins Melanie B and Dawn French as two previously-announced judges this week.

A fourth judge is tipped to be announced tomorrow and is expected to also be another Aussie.

  1. @Leppie – Melanie C didn’t say they’ll (her + family) will be back for Australia’s Got Talent, she said Mel B will be back for that. They were talking about how Mel B had been doing quite a bit in Australia and how it seemed as if she had almost moved here.

@Shelly – Australia’s Got Talent isn’t really about mentors like X Factor is. They’re just judges, really on this.

  2. Who? 9 get Dawn French and a Spice girl then get someone who is more a contestant than judge and the horrid Sandilands. If French gets wind of this I reckon she’d walk.

  3. Good choice by 9- Timomatic has indeed made a name for himself in Australia, good to see him fronting up to the judging panel- great line up for the show.

  4. I’m not sure what this means, but I was just watching The Morning Show on Channel 7 and Melanie C from the Spice Girls was on. She was talking about how much her kids love Australia, and how they’ll be back for Australia’s Got Talent. Larry quickly laughed and said “You can’t talk about that.”

    ?

  5. “Dancing and singing superstar” according to Channel 9. Superstar!?! Sorry, but he is no superstar – he would need the majority of Australians to know who he is…

  6. I think Timomatic is a great pick. He is very talented, and was also on Burn the Floor.

I think Guy is busy with his music and touring to do another reality show.

  7. @ Dodge..I dont know about TImomatic not being world famous…..appearing on Miss Universe is no small feat….Also Guy Sebastion announced earlier on radio he was quitting X Factor to concentrate on his music….and he is touring solidly until the end of June at least….

  8. Hmm.. Wonder if Red Symonds could make a return as the fourth judge?

The Got Talent shows around the world aren’t all about singers, so its good that they got Dawn French who doesnt have that as her background just hard to say who will be fourth.

  9. My guess is it’s going to be Brynne Edelsten.

No wait, it will be Deborra-Lee Furness.

No wait, it will be Shaun Micallef.

No wait, it will be Frank Woodley.

No wait, it will be Nick Giannopoulos.

No wait, it will be Wilbur Wilde.

  10. hey david i think you maybe right. but i also heard it could be john farnham.

but i have a feeling it might be guy. the last judge needs to be big.

  11. Doubt it will be Guy! He’s way to similar to Timomatic! I feel it will be someone more mature! Won’t be Kyle! Nine had to option to take him with them for the show but didn’t want him!

  12. I don’t mind this choice. He’s young, he’s Australian, and has a talent show background. Okay, he’s not world famous, but it’s about time commercial networks invested in young local talent.
