At least that’s what a Western Australian community television show will be doing from next month.

WA’s first live and interactive television gardening program Beyond Gardens – Live! on West Television (channel 44) and will be simulcast online at wtvperth.com.au/watch.

Hosted by Gardening Australia’s John Colwill, with presenters Garry Heady, John McWilliams, Steve McCabe and Alison Dorn, ‘Beyond Gardens – Live!’ aims to inspire, inform and empower people to live sustainably.

Each week viewers will be invited to phone, email, text and Twitter in with questions relating to the panel discussion of the evening which will be answered live on air.

“We’re very excited to be working with the award winning Beyond Gardens team to bring one of the most original gardening programs to West Television,” says Tibor Meszaros General Manager at West Television.

The Beyond Gardens team of sustainability specialists is committed to helping Western Australian communities live sustainably through an extensive range of informative, fun and generally free seminars and special events.

The Beyond Gardens Roadshow has attracted over 76,000 people to its 874 events in 105 local shires throughout Perth and regional Western Australia, highlighting unsuitable gardening practices, dispelling myths and providing practical alternatives suited to Western Australia’s climate.

Begins 6.30pm May 1 airing Live each Wednesday throughout May and June, and repeated at 2pm the following Saturday.
