  1. @Josh777 – Tangle wasn’t eligible for last year’s ASTRA awards. This year’s awards are for shows that aired between (from memory) February 2012 and January 2013.

  2. Rediculous that Tangle is nominated for so may awards when it hasn’t been on since just after last years ASTRA awards. It’s about time the government created a STV content quota like that for FTA networks. Most channels in Australia (if not all) are owned by international conglomerates that could easily afford to produce Australian content (and by content I refer to something other than reality and documentary as that is basically all Australian STV content – Aust. Next Top Model, Dating In The Dark Aust., Balls of Steel Aust., Aussie Pickers, Megatruckers, the upcoming Real Housewives, Football/Cricket Superstar, Project Runway, Selling Houses Australia, Come Dine With Me Australia, and Grand Designs Australia (all ironically made by Foxtel owned channels and not one by any other STV network)). If anyone can think of any Australian made programs that are available on a STV network not owned by Foxtel please comment and let me know as I would love to know if it is as bad as my comment is making out.

    1. Tangle was never renewed and will not be renewed, so in this sense yes it is axed. Producers have joked they would love to film it on their phones on the weekend. It’s always been up against tough competition in awards, now in a soft year it’s a sure thing.
