Celebrity Splash, Revenge, Grey’s Anatomy: update

Seven has updated its schedule for Monday adding an additional 30 minutes to Celebrity Splash.

revenge_finalSeven has updated its schedule for tonight adding an additional 30 minutes to Celebrity Splash.

7:30pm Celebrity Splash
9:30pm Revenge
10:30pm Grey’s Anatomy
11:30pm Surveillance Oz rpt

Note that Grey’s Anatomy is now a single episode.

Whilst this late change isn’t ideal it follows the recording of Splash yesterday. Meanwhile tomorrow night’s episode is being recorded today.

You should expect EPGs to be update sometime later today.

  1. My HDR is recording 7 till Californication starts, show should be OK for Revenge.

The Voice has a 30 minute head-start and got 2m against the MKR final so its numbers will hold up and I think it will win.

A lot of people will want to check out Celebrity Splash so they can talk about what happened tomorrow. There are 1.7m people who have been watching MKR and it will drag in some more viewers and there will be a lot of flicking. While it will have a high peak figure I don’t think it will average over 2m for two hours though.

Channel 7 not updating the times correctly and rigging the overnights is a possibility since they are running this as a spoiler. And they running it quickly and probably have a plan B ready if they need to bump it till later in the week (7 haven’t listed their Sunday night 6:30pm-8:30pm yet).

  2. @nik c: I agree at the constant PVR updates. I loved the IQ box when had Foxtel where it would record a program not the time it was first advertised (for Fox channels).
Most PVRs (if not all) record a time, not a program. This is highly annoying with shows like Russell Howard’s Good News, where it is on weeknights, but at differing times. I have to add in each individual recording at the start of a new week. Then with other shows like Rafters, that can start anywhere between 8.39 and 8.54, and tomorrow is 9pm, so I have to alter it again! Arggghh

  3. Just checked the Guide on my machine and they still haven’t updated it. I’ll watch House Husbands & will tape Revenge & Person Of Interest. TV Week has Hawaii Five-0 listed at a repeat.

  4. Don’t know how we’ll get through 2 hours of this before Revenge but on the bright side, I can now record new Breaking Bad and American Horror Story while watching Revenge then recording Greys (if everything runs on time).

  5. Thanks David!
I am getting extremely annoyed at constantly changing my PVR on a daiy basis to make sure the shows will record. I am not watching most shows live due to the unreliable starting times and refuse to be forced to watch it when they can not be bothered to keep consistent start times due to the benefit of promoting so many adverts in a given time frame!
I wish we could go back to 8 minutes of adverts a 1/2 hour (am using the 22mins of Home and Away as a guide) and consistent start times, instead of dodgy editing and programming! This rant is not over,I just have other things to do! Grrrr!!

  6. Bah, this is what I get for programming everything yesterday, now I have to change them. Really pissed of at 7 for pulling Private Practice, it only has 4 eps to go before it finishes for good.

  7. I am not watching this as I will be watching The Biggest Loser, Can of Worms and the Swimming from Adelaide. This deserves to get put off air. I will laugh if this even gets a decent result above 700,000

  8. Seriously? Tonight is the big Revenge and Seven shaft it to 9:30pm. That is poor form. Celebrity Splash will be Celebrity Crash. This is probably one of the new lows from Seven and they had been doing so well too with A Place to Call Home last night which was brilliant. Best aussie drama in a while.

    1. Not going to pick a winner but curiosity will bode well for Seven. But it may also have a huge turn-off factor so it may shed viewers fast, which would mean its average would begin to ‘dive.’ Hard to know where the numbers will end up. Overseas the debuts were strong and they’ve certainly laid on the publicity.

  9. Splash should be on Wed/Thurs where the leadouts dont matter as much, This is no way to treat Revenge, serial dramas have a very delicate audience. It will be very disapointing if the same happens to Rafters.

  10. I would think that Seven would want to use Revenge to counteract The Voice/House Husbands by starting at 8.30. I don’t think that Celebrity Splash will stump up more than 1m viewers and 9.30 start will only hurt Revenge in the long run.

  11. Another reality show but this is only three weeks and the celebs taking part are to be admired for having a go at things beyond their comfort zone and people having a laugh at their expense, we all need a little laughter in our lives so hope its a success. Go you Aussie celebs.

  12. How the hell can a diving show be that long? A dive is a split second event!! It’s not like a song or dance! As much as I love Adam Richards and Josh Thomas, I can’t see this doing well.
