  3. No announcement and no thank you to viewers for supporting the show for a whopping 45 years. Talk about gutless. Any word on whether any other network will pick it up? My elderly mum is devastated after faithfully watching it for almost half her life (she’s 86 and one of the few rituals she has left in life). Thanks for nothing, Channel Nine.

  4. Reminds me of 1975 when our local Canberra station pulled The Box. No announcements, no apologies for taking off an Australian show which stayed in production a further two years and spawned a successful movie, the episode ended with its usual cliffhanger ending then nothing.

    Plus ça change, plus c’est la même chose.

    1. Dave: Yes I was watching for an announcement. “Dear Viewer, thank you for supporting this show for 45 years. Next week we bring you replays of a show you can already see elsewhere in our schedule and on catch-up but hey at least we don’t have to pay Sony for it.”

  7. I appreciate you putting this as daily pick David. I wonder if nine will give us the courtesy of announcing at the end credits that this is their final transmission of Days?
