EPG error for House Husbands

Even cast members for House Husbands were scratching their heads at the '10pm start' for last night's episode.

2013-04-16_0114Nine Programming isn’t having a very good run lately.

Last night’s EPG in Melbourne was incorrectly scheduled:

7pm The Voice
8:51pm The Voice
10:09pm House Husbands

Of course House Husbands was promoted as starting at 8:40pm, but the bungle would have impacted on PVRs that had House Husbands scheduled to record. Instead most of those would have ended up with an episode of Person of Interest.

Cast member Tim Campbell tweeted:

Hey @HouseHusbands9 , I’m being asked about our start times tonight. Is it 8:40pm (ish)? Surely not 10:10pm? Thanks 🙂

Earlier he had tweeted:

Dear The Voice, I’m setting the recorder for #HouseHusbands tonight. How overtime will you run – don’t make me miss my punch up scene 🙂

It’s not clear if Nine will reschedule an episode for those who missed it.

The bungle follows recent Nine switcheroos on Arrow (originally promoted for tonight) and Celebrity Apprentice (pulled from its premiere tomorrow night).

Readers can log late Programming entries in TV Tonight‘s Late List.

  1. Don’t know how the epg works but I set HH
to record on foxtel last night at about 8pm and watched it from about 9:10…… All worked fine for me
EPG works well when it is programmed correctly.
10 yrs ago we all relied on TV Week and newspaper
Guides that were also wrong…..probably more times than the EPG!!!!

  2. To clarify, HH actually started around 8.50 in melb and those of us whose PVR’s recorded from 10pm have missed it? Wonderful, that’s just brilliant. Looks like i’ll be waiting for the “encore”.

  3. In other words nine advises they couldn’t give a fat rats about HH viewers as they are on a high about their voice numbers. It’s crazy all the trouble people including me have to go to to watch the programmes they like, recording etc. Surely it doesn’t have to be this hard!

    1. I only asked about the ratings, so that conclusion is not correct. Nine cares a lot about HH as it is a local drama investment but sometimes coding goes awry and it has happened to all networks.

  4. Yeah my guide does this a lot. I’ve seen shows listed for 10 mins that I know go an hour with the show beforehand listed as being for 3 hrs. I usually just use common sense and set it for what time it is usually on for and just set it a bit earlier & later just to make sure.

  5. Networks need to do better with updating EPG. There is usually a mistake somewhere. For example for the past week last night greys anatomy was listed as a double episode in description with only one hour allotted on the EPG and then two separate hours allotted to private practice but each episode had the same description. Mighty confusing and confusing as to how much to record.

  6. Given the fact HH stared some 10 minutes late (here in QLD) so after 8:50 god only knows what preset PVRs would have got. Thank god the MyStar ones allow you to automatically add upto 30 minutes to the start and end of any FTA and Foxtel recordings.

FYI just did a quick EPG search and it doesn’t look like they are planning any encores during the week at this stage.
