Seven has picked up the rights to UK comedy Vicious, starring Ian McKellen and Derek Jacobi as a grumpy old gay couple.
This is executive produced by Gary Janetti (Will and Grace, Family Guy).
Angus Ross, Seven’s director of network programming, said the talent behind the production had “delivered a wicked, laugh-out-loud comedy” that Australian audiences would love.

saw a couple of episodes on an Air NZ flight, had me laughing out loud. Agree with Pietro’s comments, sit through commercials every 5 mins & then the timeslot will get later & later. Was hoping Foxtel would pick it up.. oh well
What a delightfully fun promo. I might have to check this out
Just from that clip, it feels like it was made decades ago.
They explained all the jokes* with an unnecessary additional line. Seems like poor writing to me.
*The only way I know they’re jokes is because they carefully paused for an obligatory laugh
Seven is just as likely to wait 3 years before showing it. Then split the final into 2.
Gandalf and Emperor Claudius! Or Magneto and The Master, if you prefer.
Looks like a lot of fun! Spotted Iwan Rheon from Misfits.
Omg that’s the guy from Misfits
Anyway, not sure what to think of this, didn’t seem that funny in the trailer.
doesnt look very good from that video.
