A new late-night chat show could be headed to GO! if Sydney comedian Darren Sanders has his way.
Sanders has filmed 4 new episodes of The Darren Sanders Show, a chat show which has previously run on community television with an impressive list of guests.
On his half hour show Sanders previously chatted with guests such as Wil Anderson, Rob Carlton, Thomas Keneally, Henri Szeps and Peter Berner. Made on a shoestring budget, the series aired on TVS in Sydney, followed by other community channels around Australia, Aurora on Foxtel and New Zealand’s Sky channel.
Now he has filmed 4 new half-hour episodes with guests including Glenn Shorrock, Darren Carr, Darren Percival, Renee Brack, Dr Nikki Goldstein, Lindsay Webb, Steve Le Marquand, Vanessa Raspa and The Zombie Cats & Dave Smiedt.
With networks due to lift local content on multichannels, Sanders is hoping to air his show 4 nights a week with a compilation episode on Friday nights.
He told TV Tonight, “I’m still looking for sponsors to help with funding of the production, so it really is a labour of love since I started the idea in August 2011. This series has been funded by people who want to see the show make some sort of impact as I was looking for donations and received them from people all over Australia.
“Something I’ve never seen on Australian TV is a network use the slogan ‘The Leader in Late Night TV’. I’m trying to change that.”

Or maybe Go! could get their act together. Air this M-F with Conan before/after it.
Theres 4 eps of Conan a week, so only need to do 4 eps of this a week. Air this 10.30-11, Conan 11-12.
That way too we don’t get 3 random repeats of Conan each week! (It’s on Every night now, I’ve given up!)
“New Zealand’s Sky channel”. Sky isn’t a channel. It’s a pay tv network, with as many useless channels as Foxtel.
Would be good to put on Eleven to a lead up for The late late show
