Lena Dunham unhappy over Girls porn parody

Beware of success.....Lena Dunham's Girls is the latest TV show to get a porn parody from Hustler.

2013-05-27_1418You know you’re a success when you get a porn parody.

Girls creator Lena Dunham is unhappy that her series has become the basis for a porn film by Hustler, “This Ain’t Girls XXX.”

Dunham tweeted her disdain: “I wish I had a better attitude about the Girls porn parody. I really can never predict what will trouble me and it’s simply exhausting.”

She went on to explain her feelings, writing, “1. Because Girls is, at its core, a feminist action while Hustler is a company that markets and monetizes a male’s idea of female sexuality.

“2. Because a big reason I engage in (simulated) onscreen sex is to counteract a skewed idea of that act created by the proliferation of porn.

“3. Because it grosses me out.”

It’s fair to say that Dunham’s naked appearances on Girls have been a rare step towards debunking stereotypes about when women should or shouldn’t be naked on screen. Being so candid with her appearance has been a sign of strength.

Girls is not alone in getting the parody treatment. Hustler has also turned out Not The Bradys XXX, Not the Cosbys, Not Three’s Company, The Simpsons: The XXX Parody, This Ain’t the Smurfs XXX and This Ain’t Saved by the Bell XXX.

  1. Does anyone know where one can view the ‘This aint Saved by the Bell XXX’ parody can be viewed. The original was one of my favourite teen shows with some really hot chicks in it. I just want to see if the new version has a similar vibe and storylines…

  2. Maybe she should take a hard look at the show she is making. It is about 3 fairly promiscuous women…Plus the show is based on her life…It is a bit like the pot calling the kettle black…
