Nine nabs second ratings week

The battle between The Block and House Rules has given Nine its second ratings week this year.

2013-05-20_0137Nine has won its second ratings week of the year.

Last week Nine was dominant thanks to its Reality shows and Nine News.

Seven took a Celebrity Splash plunge for the very same reasons, due largely to House Rules under-performing. The battle between The Block and House Rules was the week’s biggest decider. With its strategic coding, Nine nabbed 9 of the week’s top 10 titles.

  1. And theyll continue to nab the next several weeks if seven dont drop House Rules, even if they do, theyll be stuffed due to holes in the schedule, and theyll soon turn into 9. Nine deserves these wins, because it seems to me that Seven are up themselves because of their clean sweep in 2011, and MKRs performance.
Their biggest mistake was axing AGT, now 9 will have pretty strong power when they air it. Dosent take a genius to know that it will, because im 100% it will give great ratings when it starts because im certain 7 dont have a juggernaut like the voice for the rest of the year. AGT was a juggernaut reaching near the 2 millions in 2011. 9 just made it hidden in 2012. Well played 9, you deserve it.

Bet you it was axed not because of ratings or money, but to make way for house rules! 7 are slowly dying like 9 in 2005/06. I mean Nine News has had a really good amount of national wins this year, which theyve never had. Now nines got their revenge on Hot Seat, a juggernaut to Deal, responsible for destroying the price is right on 9, which two was popular, but just hidden by deals juggernaut at the time, so that was 9’s mistake by axing it. And nine news lost to 7 because of poor choice of newsreader in sydney, which was the supports of 9’s bridge to being the national leader.

So i think 9 are slowly clawing back to dominance. 🙂

  2. So Nine held onto the week before won by them? If they did its a bit surprising.

Nine did deserve last week. They have the momentum right now and Seven have made some awful mistakes in programming these past few weeks. House Rules will go down as the biggest blunder now not Celebrity Splash unless somehow it dramatically improves.
