Anthony Bourdain's latest foodie travel series has been renewed for a second season by CNN.

“Tony and Zero Point Zero Production have created a spectacularly beautiful, informative and entertaining series for CNN that has resonated with viewers in a profound way,” said CNN Worldwide president Jeff Zucker. “In addition to its runaway ratings success, it is also quite the conversation starter, as anyone who follows social media can attest. We are so happy to announce season two, and I can assure you that audiences will love what is coming up on the show.”

The show is currently airing on CNN in Australia as follows:

Canada on CNN 11am AEST Monday 12/5/13 – The two funniest and most brilliant chef/restaurateurs in Canada, Joe Beef’s Dave McMillan and Fred Morin, take us on a journey though Quebec.

Tangier on CNN 11am AEST Monday 19/5/13 – Tony explores the “Interzone”, where artists like Burroughs, Bowles, and the Rolling Stones sought escape from Western moral prohibitions and the possibilities of great empty spaces. Does that “anything goes” attitude still exist?

Libya on CNN 11am AEST Monday 26/5/13 – Libyan hip-hop, Italian restaurants, tribal allegiances and post-war uncertainty in Libya. Tony looks at the country through personal stories, food–and the music–of anti-Qaddafi rapper expats who returned to fight.

Peru on CNN 11am AEST Monday 2/6/13 – Tony and his friend, world-renowned chefEric Ripert, explore the far reaches of indigenous Andes in search of a rare variety of wild cocoa that is said to be the “best” in the world. They move from hip, modern Lima back in time into pre-Columbian Peru.

Congo on CNN 11am AEST Monday 9/6/13 – Tony visits Congo, the setting of one of his favourite books, Conrad’s Heart of Darkness, and the basis for one of his favourite movies, the classic Apocalypse Now.
