Upfronts 2013: FOX

Video: Check out trailers for new FOX shows, including Rake with Greg Kinnear.

FOX has revealed trailers for its new shows coming to its Fall season.

Amongst the goodies is our first trailer for the US adaptation for Rake which will air when Glee takes a mid-season break.

“Things are changing,” FOX Entertainment chairman Kevin Reilly told reporters. “It’s an amazing time of transition.” After the well-reported troubles with American Idol and The X Factor, he admits: “This was not our best year” but adds, “We will be No. 1 again next season.

“I’d like to strike the word midseason from our lexicon,” Reilly said. “It makes it seem like there’s only two places where we can really launch shows — September and January. We want to stagger programming throughout the year.”

As previously reported 24 also returns in a limited run.

  1. Rake looks pretty similar to the original, although I think Roxburgh is better. Another Sony production, I wonder if anyone local will bother picking it up?

  2. Dads looks like complete crap. Won’t last.
But Enlisted looks stupidly funny and Rake looked awesome too. I liked the promos for both.
Almost Human and Sleepy Hollow seemed alright enough to try.

  3. “SiFi and Fox don’t mix”
    Hmmm. X-Files?

Interesting that they snuck an Australian song into the Rake clip. Could that be the theme song?

Meanwhile, Brooklyn Nintey Nine looks like Police Academy with Samberg as the new Guttenberg.

  4. ok my order…. which means absolutely nothing if i know TV execs… Rake, US & Them, Brooklyn Nine Nine and Almost Human…and if pushed Enlisted looked ok…Dads major flop and couldnt be bothered watching the others

  5. Almost Human looks interesting… so it will probably be canceled after a few weeks, SiFi and Fox don’t mix well.

Enlisted looks like a laugh, might check that one out!

Us and Them could be good, if only to see Alexis Bledel back on TV.

  6. I anticipate most of these will be cancelled by ep5. Dads looks like it might stick domestically.

If I were Ten i’d be picking up Dracula…

  7. Rake looked ok but I preferred Sleepy Hollow and Almost Human. Dads looks like it’ll be one of those forced comedies where the laughs are beaten out of you with a hammer.

  8. Rake looks pretty good with that. Sees to be able t transition well.

If Fox stuff up my legacy of “Gavin & Stacey” – one of the funniest shows to come out of the UK in recent years – with this “Us & Them”, I will be livid. A tleast they are not calling it Gavin & Stacey.

  9. I like the look of Sleepy Holllow and Brooklyn Nine Nine. Nice to see Andy Samburg and Andre Braugher back on TV

Almost Human doesn’t look bad either but I would have preferred a second season of Common Law for Michael Ealy

  10. The strike rate was very poor last season and the season before across all networks, almost every new show last season has been axed and the few that were renewed have the ods stacked against them to go any further. It is going to be very difficult for networks to rebuild trust before viewers start giving these shows a chance.
