Parks and Recreation episode in London

Parks and Recreation will begin its next season with an hour long special filmed in London.

The US comedy, led by Amy Poehler, is set to air in the US in September.

Aziz Ansari, who stars as Tom Haverford, recently spoke to Digital Spy about why he thinks the programme has struck a chord with viewers.

“I think it’s a really good cast of characters that they’ve created with the actors and writers,” he explained.

“It’s a really unique set of characters and it’s a very unique show. I really enjoy being a part of it.”

The show will have its sixth season in September. Not bad for a comedy that was brought to the fore after Kath and Kim (US) didn’t connect with audiences.
