Today is heading to Canada for the week of July 1-5, broadcasting from Alberta and British Columbia.

The Today team will get up close to Canada’s wildlife, including bears, killer whales and explore Canada’s spectacular wilderness including the Rocky Mountains and glaciers.

They will meet cowboys from Canada’s world famous Calgary stampede, Karl is going to do some log rolling and there will be live music plus a visit from the Royal Canadian Mounties.

Host Karl says: “We’re going to a country where the national dish is chips covered in melted cheese and gravy…they call this work?”

Lisa Wilkinson adds: “Five days on the road with Karl…good thing we will be in some of the most spectacular places in the world.”

Karl, Lisa, Georgie, Richard Wilkins and Richard Reid will be at:

1st July – Lake Louise, Alberta
2nd July – Banff, Alberta
3rd July – Whistler, British Columbia
4th July – Vancouver, British Columbia
5th July – Victoria, British Columbia

Steve Jacobs will be in the east:

1st July – Quebec
2nd July – Montreal
3rd July – Montebello
4th July – Ottawa
5th July – Niagara Falls.

  1. so either Scenic Tours or AAPT will be the major broadcast partner… standby for the win a chance to travel with the Today show competition.

  2. Canada must have the best tourism deals with TV shows. I don’t think there is a travel show in the world that hasn’t been to the Fairmont in Banff and The Today show is no exception.

  3. hopefully they produce some good content for the ‘morning tv presenters in stilettoes on slippery snow’ files on youtube. hours of amusement.

  4. I’ll never understand why they insist doing these trips but leaving behind certain cast members. Please don’t tell me Ben will be presenting sports from the Sydney studios while the team is in Canada?
